I’m Jessica Lin, a product designer with a background in architecture and over a decade of design experience.

I specialize in shaping digital products, brands, and systems that feel thoughtful and intentional.

My Background

I studied environmental design and architecture before transitioning fully into product design. That foundation shapes how I think today — in systems, structure, and long-term scalability.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked primarily in startup environments, where speed, clarity, and adaptability are essential. I thrive in early-stage teams where design plays a foundational role in shaping direction.

I’ve led product design for gamified apps, collaborated with development teams on complex platforms, and supported mission-driven nonprofits in elevating their digital presence.

How I Think About Design

Design is not decoration.

It’s decision-making.

I care about:

  • Why users behave the way they do

  • How visual systems influence perception

  • How clarity builds trust

  • How thoughtful UX supports growth

Whether I’m designing an app interface or a brand system, my goal is the same: build something that feels cohesive, considered, and built to last.

Beyond Work

Outside of design, I create across multiple mediums — from furniture and ceramics to graphic work and community-driven creative projects. I’m constantly learning, experimenting, and refining.

That curiosity fuels my work.

If you’re building something meaningful and want a strategic design partner, I’d love to connect.

Choosing a Product Designer Doesn’t Have to Be a Guess

I’ve worked with founders at many different stages, and I’ve seen how the right product designer can save months of time while the wrong hire can quietly derail a product. This article shares what to look for, what matters most, and common red flags to avoid.
